THE BRONX, N.Y. — Philadelphia Union overturned a two-goal deficit in the second half to defeat New York City FC, 3-2, at Yankee Stadium on Sunday, with forward Bruno Damiani scoring both go-ahead goals in a six-minute span. New York City had built its lead through penalties, with Bénie Traoré opening the scoring early and Luighi doubling it right before halftime. Philadelphia cut into that lead almost immediately after the restart on a goal from Danley Jean Jacques, then found its rhythm late: Damiani tied the match in the 69th minute and put the visitors ahead for good in the 75th, both goals coming off quick transition plays. New York City had chances to respond down the stretch, including a header from James Sands that Union goalkeeper Andre Blake turned away and a late foray forward by NYCFC keeper Matt Freese on a set piece, but the deficit held.
