BRONX, N.Y. — An eight-goal thriller at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday night saw New York City FC and FC Cincinnati play to a chaotic 4-4 draw. NYCFC took an early lead behind a first-half brace from Nicolás Fernández, with Kévin Denkey scoring in the 32nd minute to briefly level for Cincinnati. Agustín Ojeda extended New York’s advantage in the 53rd minute, and while Denkey struck again in the 65th to keep Cincinnati within reach, Talles Magno’s 79th minute goal appeared to put the match out of sight at 4-2. But Cincinnati responded in stoppage time, with Andrei Chirila scoring in the 90+2’ minute before Evander Ferreira converted a late penalty to secure the draw and earn Cincinnati a point on the road.
