HARRISON, N.J. — Julian Hall scored three goals Wednesday night to become the youngest player in Major League Soccer history to record a hat trick, leading Red Bull New York to a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Crew at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Hall, 18, opened the scoring in the seventh minute on a cross from Cade Cowell. Cowell also assisted Hall’s second goal before halftime to give New York a 2-1 lead. Columbus equalized twice, through Max Arfsten in the 22nd minute and a Diego Rossi penalty in the 64th. Hall completed the hat trick in the 79th minute, converting a rebound off a saved header from a corner kick to deny the Crew a point.
