HARRISON, N.J. — The New York Red Bulls defeated Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC 3-1 in the Round of 32 of the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at Sports Illustrated Stadium on Wednesday night, advancing to the Round of 16. The Red Bulls took control in the first half, with Emil Forsberg opening the scoring before Julian Hall added two goals to give New York a 3-0 lead at halftime. Pittsburgh found a breakthrough in the second half through Trevor Amann, but were unable to add another as the Red Bulls maintained control.
