Gotham FC answered with two first-half goals to beat the Current 2-1 at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Midge Purce leveled the score in the 13th minute, converting a low shot into the left corner after Jaedyn Shaw’s free kick was knocked to her feet. Sam Kerr put Gotham ahead in the 41st minute, redirecting a weighted pass from Shaw past goalkeeper Marisa Jordan.
